Edge Cases and Common Pitfalls

The most common surprise is the inclusive endpoint: a range from Friday to Monday returns only 2 working days (Friday and Monday), because the weekend is excluded while both endpoints are counted. Another pitfall is public holidays — this tool ignores them entirely, so a date that is a national holiday is still counted as a working day. If a month boundary or a leap day falls inside the range, the loop handles it naturally, but the weekday pattern is what really defines the result: a 31-day month typically yields 22 or 23 working days depending on where it begins.

This counter assumes a Monday-to-Friday work week, which is the most common convention but not the only one.
